Since this is my first blog and it happens to be the end of the year, I am going to tell you a little bit about my past year. It has been a wild year of ups and downs but mostly ups. Almost a year to the date, December 18, 2009 to be exact, I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. My two years at Auburn were full of ups and downs as well, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I learned and I grew in ways I never thought possible.

A few short days after graduating, I spent my first Christmas with Morgan. A wonderful Christmas full of wonderful memories. I can't wait to spend our first married Christmas together though!

January 2010 rolls around and I realized something: I had to find a job! Not an easy task as many of you know. I worked and helped out at Circle W Trailers while searching for a permanent job in which I could use my new found skills from my Auburn degree. In February, I interviewed at Fort Rucker, Al to take a position with Lockheed Martin. I didn't hear back from them a couple of weeks later so I took a job as census crew leader assistant. That was experience! I learned and grew from the experience and even made a little money! In March, I finally got the call I had been waiting for. A representative from Lockheed Martin called and asked if I was still interested in the job. Of course I accepted! April 19, 2010 was to be my start date. On April 18, my dad and I flew to Dallas,TX. Yes, I actually boarded a plane and flew in a real airplane. It was the first time I had ever done this so naturally I was terrified seeing as I hate heights, but we made and it was a wonderful experience. I have settled into my new job (December 19 I will have been working for here for 8 months). It has gone by so fast and I have enjoyed it. I just wish it wasn't such a long drive from McKenzie to Fort Rucker!

June 26, 2010, The day I married my best friend. The day was perfect. I had lunch with mom and dad at Ruby Tuesday, took pictures by the pond with my soon to be husband, and had the most amazing wedding ceremony I could ever ask for. Not to mention, Carol and Hannah Hogner were able to come from Texas and sing for me! Couldn't have been any better! My favorite was the send off to a big "WAR EAGLE!" and the orange and blue pom-poms shaking in our direction! Oh by the way, the mobile home in the background is where we live!

We spent our honeymoon in Atlanta and Stone Mountain, GA. We visited the Georgia Aquarium, Coke museum, a Braves game, and of course spent most of our time at Stone Mountain. It was a wonderful trip spent away from it all.
The following months were quite and unexciting, but I loved every minute of it! We are now coming up on our first married Christmas together! I can't wait to share our first Christmas and many more experiences.
